Job Title:

Technical Sales Representative 

Definition 

Generating new sales and providing technical support into municipal and industrial business sectors. 

Responsible to:

Managing Director. 

Responsible for:

  • Generating new sales opportunities for MuSol products and equipment. 

  • Providing technical support through field trials and site visits.

Responsible for achieving or exceeding Company sales targets and objectives for the sector. 

  • Agree and understand sector sales targets with MD. 

  • Manage the agreed business sectors and accounts on a day to day basis. 

  • Ensure all relevant information is available to regularly monitor performance against target/standard. 

  • Devise a business plan and review quarterly with MD. 

  • In the event of shortfall from the planned objectives ensure SMART action recovery plans are promptly put in place. 


Develop new accounts in the region, consistent with the Business development plan. 

  • Identify odour control sales in all business sectors in conjunction with MD, ensure framework contracts are both applied for and tenders submitted. 

  • Identify new product sales in existing and prospective accounts. 

  • Identify sales for newly developed products in existing and prospective accounts and in conjunction with the MD plan and organise product launch. 

  • Plan and organise product evaluations, trials and ongoing support. 


Responsible for monthly reporting 

  • submit contact reports and monthly reports in the agreed format promptly and accurately. 

  • Make effective use of information gained from reports. 

  • Maintain and update customer information and details. 


As a Sales Team member, be responsible for contributing actively to the Company’s Sales strategy 

  • Effective and efficient self management in line with Company procedures. 

  • Understand fully how his/her own activities relate to those of his colleagues & the company’s strategic objectives. 

  • Actively contribute to the team in the development of the company’s strategy.
